For Commonly Asked Questions

what’s your photo turnaround time?

For portrait sessions, your full gallery is typically delivered within 2–7 days, with most galleries averaging around 4–14 days depending on season and workflow. On rare occasions, galleries are delivered in under 24 hours, but this is not guaranteed.

For weddings, turnaround time is 1–5 weeks maximum. Delivery varies based on coverage time and package size, as larger wedding days naturally require more editing time than shorter coverage.

Every gallery is carefully and intentionally edited, and I always aim to deliver your images as promptly as possible while maintaining consistent, high-quality work.

what’s the payment and retainer policies?

To secure your session, a non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking. This retainer is applied toward your total balance and officially holds your date.

For example, if your session total is $150, a $50 retainer is due to book. The remaining $100 is then due on the day of your session.

Retainer amounts vary depending on the collection you choose, and each package is structured with its own set booking fee.

I accept payments through PayPal, Apple Pay, Cash App, and Venmo. Cash is accepted only for final session payments. Checks are not accepted.

Your date is not secured until the retainer is received.

refund policies?

Retainers are non-refundable and secure your scheduled date. If a client does not show up for their session, the retainer will not be refunded.

If I am unable to attend the scheduled session, or if severe weather (such as heavy rain) prevents the session from taking place and it cannot be safely or reasonably rescheduled, you will have the option of either a full retainer refund or a rescheduled date.

All remaining session payments are non-refundable once your final edited gallery has been delivered. At that point, all sales are final.

While this policy is firm to protect my time and business, I am always understanding and will work with you when unexpected circumstances arise. In most cases, refunds are only issued if I am unable to fulfill the session.

What are your cancellation policies?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, I kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible so I can adjust my schedule accordingly.

If I ever need to cancel or reschedule your session, I will also give you as much notice as possible and work with you to find a new date that fits best. If I am unable to fulfill the session and a reschedule is not possible, you will receive a full refund of your retainer.

Each session includes one complimentary reschedule. Any additional reschedules will require a new retainer to secure a new date.

I understand that life happens, and I always try to be flexible when I can. This policy simply helps protect both of our time and keeps my schedule running smoothly and fairly for all clients.

how far in advance should I book?

I always recommend booking as soon as possible to ensure availability. Some sessions are scheduled up to a year in advance, so there truly is no such thing as booking too early.

If you’re considering a session, the sooner you reach out and secure your date, the better chance you have of getting your preferred timeframe.

what do I wear?

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident first and foremost.

My biggest styling tip is to coordinate rather than fully match. Matching can be beautiful, but coordinating colors, tones, and textures often creates a more natural, cohesive look in photos.

If you’re unsure what to wear, I’m always happy to help. I love styling sessions and can help you build a look, create a visual guide, or even send outfit links for inspiration.

I’m also currently working on a client closet that will be available soon for use in sessions.

For now, just start with what makes you feel your best, and I’ll help guide the rest from there.

can I bring props and extra outfits? Can we change locations?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes — you are absolutely welcome to bring props, outfit changes, and ideas that help bring your vision to life.

Outfit changes are not additionally charged, however, they do take time from your scheduled session. Because of this, a minimum 25-minute session is required for outfit changes unless otherwise discussed. All outfit changes must stay within your booked session time.

Location changes are also welcome, however a small travel fee may apply depending on the distance between locations.

My goal is always to create a session that feels flexible, fun, and true to you while keeping everything running smoothly and on time.

how will I receive my photos?

All final images are delivered through your online gallery on my website. You will receive a private link via email or text, whichever you prefer. From your gallery, you’ll be able to download your images in high resolution directly to your device. I do not provide USBs or physical copies. Prints can be purchased directly through the website, but that is handled separately and not through me.

Every package includes your selected number of edited images, and your full unedited gallery. If you ever need help downloading your photos, I’m always happy to walk you through it step-by-step.

what are travel rates and how far are you willing to go?

Travel is complimentary within 35 minutes of my location. Outside of that, I charge a flat-rate travel fee that includes full round-trip travel from my base location and is based on distance and total travel time.

1 hour away (2 hours round-trip) - $100

1 1/2 hours away ( 3 hours round trip ) - $125

2 hours away (4 hours round-trip) - $250

2.5 hours away (5 hours round-trip) - $325

3 hours away (6 hours round-trip) - $450

Anything beyond 3 hours requires a custom quote so I can accurately price your location and timeline. I am always open to traveling wherever your story takes you—especially for weddings and destination celebrations. For larger coverage days, travel may be adjusted depending on your collection, and I’m happy to discuss custom options, including out-of-state or destination work. I also have a travel bucket list, and if your venue is on it, I may offer special arrangements depending on the project.
